Movement Coaching

Movement coaches are trained specialist at assessment and optimization of movement that begins by systemically analyzing foundational patterns while taking into consideration physical and medical history. Intervention with the movement coach includes corrective exercise, behavior modification and additional programming to improve functional movement patterns.

My journey into specializing in women’s health began when I became a mother. This experience sparked a profound shift in my professional focus; it showed me how women benefit from specialized training in their fitness journey. Marsalis Burgin is the founder of Burgin Performance Solutions, a Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach for multiple High School Sports, and is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

As a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, he always knew he had a passion for helping others meet their fitness goals. He takes pride in reaching clients goals while keeping them safe and using movements they will use in their everyday life. Marsalis excels in teaching correct and safe movement patterns that will lead to improved stability, mobility, strength and power in athletes and adults. He also enjoys having college interns to share his knowledge with and prepare them for the field. Marsalis is also a Strength and Conditioning coach at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. He believes that along with preparing his student athletes for competition physically and mentally, this is his opportunity to give back to the youth and prepare them for the obstacles that they will have in the real world.

Christina DiGiovanni is a certified Pilates Reformer instructor. She is also a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with an associate degree from UC Clermont and bachelor’s degree in Dance from Wright State University. She has 8 years of outpatient clinical experience and continues to work as a PTA in schools, with special needs students. In her previous career as a dancer and dance educator she performed with dance companies in Dayton, Chicago, and Louisville and taught with Cincinnati Ballet School’s Children’s division and the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts.

My workout routines evolved and adapted throughout various phases of my life, consistently bringing me happiness and grounding. After spending years in the Cincinnati beer brewing scene, the pandemic ignited a desire for a new career path. I decided to take my lifelong commitment to exercise and turn it into a professional pursuit, dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals.
